Life Happens....

and we must be prepared! We may not know what tomorrow holds but we must, by faith, trust in the ONE who holds it. When we are least expecting it, life can come at us fast!

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The devils goal is to destroy families & lives. He thrives on it! That's his game. It's our FAMILIES that make up the local church and if he can destroy the home, he can hinder God's work from moving forward. He has attacked my family time and time again! That's when I have to go back and claim God's word over and over again!

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

I'm not competitive by nature. However, I do not like losing either! If you sign up for a race, I'm sure there's the hope and anticipation of winning! I started a race many years ago and sometimes I get weary along the way but I don't want to faint! I don't want to quit! As my Pastor says: "There's a difference between getting weary in the way and getting weary of the way!" May I never get to weary that I GIVE UP! In this passage of scripture I am reminded that I serve the one that is GREAT! None other is greater and through Him and His power I can overcome!!

1Jo 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Jas 1:17a  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above... Billy, Blake, Casey, Brooke and Karter and Brandon (for now...)

There are rare moments in life when you are touched with so much love that you begin to realize how beautiful life really is! I have been blessed with a wonderful family. We aren't perfect but GOD thought us perfect for each other. We can choose our friends but God chooses our family! I have a husband that adores me, provides for me each and every day and does his best to make sure that all of my needs are met. I have three beautiful healthy children that love me, in spite of my many faults and failures! I have a precious son-in-law, Casey, that adores my daughter and loves God with all his heart! I have a grandbaby, Karter, due to make his arrival in October who is going to fall in love with his Gigi! :) Above all this, I have a HEAVENLY FATHER who loves me unconditionally! He loves me ALWAYS! He has blessed my life in ways that I never imagined possible! I know there are areas in my life and in the lives of my family that God will FIX in His timing, not mine! Only the God of Heaven can take our Goof-ups and turn them into His Glory!

Thank you, Lord, for the most precious gift of all...THE GIFT OF SALVATION! My life verse has always been Ps 18:2 It serves as my constant reminder that I am in Christ and He is in me!!!

Ps 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I OWE IT ALL TO HIM!!

It's been a while....

When you feel the MOST alone, forgotten, or abandoned- when you feel like no one is there or cares- that is when God is closest to you. He promised to never leave nor forsake us. Just reach up and you'll find His outstretched arms waiting to take you into His tender embrace! God is good ALWAYS!
I MISS YOU DADDY!
I haven't been keeping up with my blog for  a while now but today I'm inspired to resume my blogging! :) I pray everyone has been doing well. Since my last update my Daddy has went home to be with the Lord. He left his earthly home and moved into his new mansion on February 18th 2011. I miss him ALOT and some days are harder than others but God's grace has NEVER failed and NEVER will in being sufficient!

Also, Brooke is doing very well with her pregnancy. She's into her last trimester and we are getting more and more excited as the delivery date draws nearer.

I hope to stay more faithful in the future, as time allows, to keep you updated through my blog. May God Bless each and everyone who reads....
